I woke up one morning and got ready to go to my job and as I was having a shower, I slid down the shower wall in tears (a bit dramatic…but true), knowing that I just could not go on anymore. I was exhausted, burned out and I was done!
It had been about 10 years of suffering by this stage and I had been doing my best to avoid facing it. I was in denial with juggling my very busy life.
I was unaware at the time, but I was also going through menopause and this did not help either.
Now, I don’t think I am anything particularly special. I thought that if this could happen to me that it could happen to other women too.
I was fit, healthy, had a great social like and a loving husband. The thing was that I was very stressed and burned the candle at both ends. I found it difficult to slow down and relax. I felt like I only had one speed…and that was full speed ahead. I was always in flight, fright or freeze! My body was continually being flooded with adrenalin.
At the time, I thought I had balance in my life…but I really didn’t.
I needed to change my mindset around how I was living my life otherwise I was destined for chronic health issues that come with experiencing chronic stress. Heart disease, depression, memory loss causing confusion, chronic fatigue syndrome and a host of other possible auto-immune diseases.
In the years that followed, armed with my Science degrees and my fitness credentials, I studied and researched everything I could about health, chronic stress, menopause and ultimately healed myself.
Now I want to help other women because I am NOT okay with any other woman going through what I did. It is not necessary!
I stand for women being empowered and taking control and creating the next chapter of their amazing lives with them as their own leading ladies.
So gorgeous women, if you want to have an incredible, fulfilling life, with all the love, freedom and enjoyment that life has to offer, jump on a FREE 45 minute Mojo Boosting Session with me and we can map out a plan.
I live in Sydney, Australia with my wonderful husband, Peter, and our 2 outrageously funny and very spoilt cats. I swear I spend more money on them than I do on myself!
I studied Science (biochemistry) at university and after working in the industry for 5 years, I became a secondary school science teacher. For the next 30 years, in various roles, I taught school students the importance of science and scientific literacy so they could make informed decisions with regards to the BIG issues like climate change and feeding a hungry world. I love making a difference.
I wanted to continue to make a difference and my passion has shifted to coaching women. This was due to my own confronting and challenging experience which I already mentioned. I realized that I could help other women go from confusion to mojo with all that I had experienced and learned.
Through my own story and extensive studies I am able to empathize and help other women through my approach, which incorporates mindset, health, alternative therapies and mainstream solutions.
